SCOTT GREENUP | MANAGING DIRECTOR
Scott joined FinPro in February, 2022. Scott ended a 36 year career with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation when he retired in 2021. At the time of his retirement, he was the Associate Director of Asset Management for the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships in Washington, DC, a position he held since August of 2016.
Scott began his career with the FDIC as a bank examiner trainee in Sioux Falls, SD in 1985 and rose through the ranks with positions in the Division of Supervision including Regional Accountant, Senior Banking Analyst, Supervisory Financial Analyst, all in the Kansas City Region, and Chief of Emerging Issues in Washington, DC from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, he was promoted to his position in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships. During his career, Scott was involved in all aspects of bank supervision and regulation, was involved in numerous internal FDIC training efforts, and culminated his career leading a team of professionals resolving assets acquired in the Financial Crisis.
During his career at the FDIC, Scott spoke at numerous banking conferences and meetings and was a faculty member at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
Scott earned an Associate’s Degree in Sales and Management from Williston State College, Williston, ND, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Montana State University, Billings, MT. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado and is a Certified Public Accountant.
