Edye had a 33-year career with the FDIC as a Field Examiner, Review Examiner, Case Manager, Assistant Regional Director, and Regional Ombudsman.  Edye has extensive examination oversight and report processing experience, has reviewed and processed all types of bank applications requiring regulatory approval, and has worked closely with financial institutions through supervisory requirements and enforcement actions.  Edye was also responsible for development of the Atlanta Region’s Directors’ College Program and coordinated with state trade associations and banking departments to develop programs and create pertinent content.  As Ombudsman, Edye served as a confidential, neutral, and independent resource for bankers with questions, concerns, or complaints about the FDIC regulatory process.
